Should You Stay or Should You Go?

So you find yourself between a rock and a hard place.Between a Job board and a break room. Between “all in” and “peace out”.How do you know if you should ask for a raise, or just find something better? It’s no secret that finding a new job will likely give you a pay bump, but what are the challenges that come with it? Adapting to new culture, new faces, new processes, and all new obstacles to overcome – is it worth the effort? The question you have to ask yourself is“Would a raise make my situation any better?”.

If you chose 3 or more to the left, it seems like a great time to ask for a salary increase. Remember – you deserve to be compensated and titled appropriately for the level of work you’re doing. Don’t bite the bullet for the company’s benefit – you’d be a prized candidate elsewhere.

if you chose 3 ore more to the right…well, we hate to break it to you but it might be time to move on. Change can be uncomfortable, but no more uncomfortable than you already are. Take the leap, and start the search. Future you will be thankful you did.
