Hard Truths about Women in Tech & Leadership

For every 100 men who are promoted from entry-level roles to manager positions, only 87 women are promoted, and only 82 women of color are promoted.

Men were offered higher salaries than women 63% off the time

Women hold 44% of STEM-related bachelor’s degrees but only 15% of engineering jobs are held by women, making it the STEM field where women are most highly underrepresented.

Organizations where 50% or more of the senior leadership is held by women there is more likely to be equal pay, higher retention rates and job satisfaction levels.
